Popular Socialite, Dodoye Adesanya in N800million Debt Mess

For a long time to come, famous Lagos socialite, Gbenga Dodoye Adesanya will rue the day he yield to the temptation to outsmart his close friend, Lanre Ere Obisesan (aka Seriki) and two other partners in a business deal. This resulted in his arrest and subsequent detention, at the Panti Police Station, Yaba. And though, he was released after a week, Dodoye is now running from pillar to post, in his quest to offset the N800million debt he owed his business partners. His ordeal is more aggravated by the fact that his bankers are now running after him to service the loans he took to invest in Aries Suites, the hotel he co-owns with two other friends. However, it was gathered that before Dodoye landed at the police station, Lanre Ere had lured him to his Magodo residence and locked him up in his dogs’ kennel for several hours. Moreover, Lanre Ere was reported to have impounded all the cars in his friend’s garage and moved them to an undisclosed location. It was after this treatment had been meted out to Dodoye that the other aggrieved partners turned him in to the police. The lanky big spender, who has now gone low profile, has since been cursing the fate that befell him.

Rev. Chris Okotie Buys N11m Car for New Lover, Delphine Okoronkwo
…. Why he is Madly In Love With Her

image
It is a known fact that flamboyant pastor, Chris Okotie has found love again. And the object of his love interest is Delphine Okoronkwo, a beautiful lady, said to be in her late 20′s.
However, what is unknown to most people is the fact that, Okotie’s current flame shares a striking resemblance with his former wife, Stephanie Henshaw.
So fixated is he with Delphine that he allows her to stay in Stephanie’s room in his house, whenever she is in his home.
image
To buttress this fact, Delphine usually takes photograph of herself in the bedroom, and some of these pictures are posted on her Instagram page.
In one of the pictures, the pink curtains in Stephanie’s bedroom could be seen in the background.
Stephanie was said to have personally chosen the unique colour and pattern of the curtains.
Typically, Okotie has been showering his current squeeze with expensive gifts since the affair commenced three months ago. Chief among these various gifts is a Kia Carens car, said to be worth N11 million. Delphine is said to attend Pastor Tony Rapu’s led This Present House church. However, after church service on Sunday, she resumes at Okotie’s Opebi, Ikeja home, and she usually locks herself up in Stephanie’s room.
Aside from Delphine, one other lady who has been keeping Okotie ‘occupied’ is Naomi Hoffman, a drop-dead gorgeous 20-year old secondary school drop-out. It is gathered that  Naomi is a regular sight in Okotie’s home.
She enjoys a special place in his life, as she is charged with the ‘enviable’ responsibility of preparing his meals.
However, Delphine is the current champion in the life of the highly flamboyant and theatrical minister of the gospel.

MY PARTY HAS ENDORSED ME FOR SECOND TERM
-Tobun Abiodun

What this lawmaker has going for him is his relationship with his people, and now he is enjoying the benefit of being a man of the grassroots.
So, when Hon. Tobun Abiodun was awarded a chieftaincy title of Otunba Apesin of Ketu Kingdom in Epe Area of the state by His Royal Majesty (HRM) Oba Adegboyega Adefowora (JP) recently, it was agreed that he is a man of the people, who has given good accounts of himself over the years.
The lawmaker, who is from Epe Constituency 2, is sure of contesting in 2015 all things being equal and he is proud to say that he has done his bit for his people.
Hon. Tobun, who is the Chairman of House Committee on Environment, spoke on national issues and also used the opportunity of the interview to eulogise his political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who he described as a leader of leaders and a man, whose popularity keeps growing after leaving office as a public officer.

What is your view on the 70% voting formula adopted at the on-going constitutional conference in Abuja?
I feel the old method of 2/3 majority is okay, this is used world over and our own should not be an exception. 2/3 majority suffice, we should not choose another formula in attending to issues bothering on national development. There are some issues that require simple majority or 2/3 majority, but they are now putting it at upper limit, I think this is wrong. It might lead to anarchy; simple majority is even better, but 70% or above might not be realizable easily.

Do you expect that the on-going constitutional conference would give us something better as a country?
I don’t want to be a pessimist, but the constitutional conference is not necessary at this time, especially, when we have a National Assembly. What is the essence of the constitutional conference, when their decisions would still be subject to the approval of the National Assembly? I don’t see anything meaningful coming out of the conference at this time. I think it is a strategy adopted by some people to either prolong themselves in office or cause disharmony within the system. The selection is so poor; the delegates were single handedly picked by some elements. The people in the National Assembly were elected by the people to represent them, they were democratically elected, even those whose elections were rigged have been removed by courts of competent jurisdiction, while the real winners were put there. If we want a constitutional conference, it should have been a sovereign national conference, where people would elect those they want to determine their future and that of the country and that should not be done towards the end of tenure of somebody.

There was an attack at SSS Headquarters in Abuja recently and there have been crisis in the northern part of the country, as elections are coming, how do you see the whole development?
With due respect to the President, it seems he is taking this issue of security with kids glove, this thing started like a child’s play, it has now blown to a full scale terrorism and it seems the Federal Government has no solution to it and the terrorists are now taking it to their doorsteps. They have attacked military formations, they have attacked police stations, they have attacked NNPC office and others, may be their next target is Aso Rock in Abuja. They have attacked Governors’ convoys, schools premises, this shows security lapses. Our security operatives ought to have a method to deal with these people; these are internal strife, what of if it was to be external aggression for God sake. The Boko Haram sect has recruited so many people, they have more sophisticated weapons and equipments to circumvent our security operatives. That means something is going wrong, if it were to be in advanced world, the President would have thrown in the towel, but rather, we see them perpetuating themselves in office and they still want to go back to power in 2015.

The leader of your party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently celebrated his birthday, as one of his followers, what do you have to say?
My own would be in form of prayers, I pray that Almighty Allah spares his life to lead us more. He is a selfless leader, he is a leader, who is forthright, he has the love and interest of people at heart, and love for the country. He is a leader that is ready to sacrifice; he is a leader of leaders. I am not sentimental about him; but I will say he is a special breed like his name (Akanbi). You have people like him once in a generation; he is a leader that God has bestowed on our generation. He is the man that lives above common standard; he is articulate, very intelligent, vocal, bold and a cheerful giver.  I pray that God would spare his life to be able to lead us further. He is someone that does not believe in mediocrity, whether you are there or not, he would do the right thing, and with him, you must perform because he believes your legacy either favours you is against you, he believes in good legacy. He advises us to do our best and leave the rest. A lot of people, when they leave power, their popularity go down, but he keeps waxing stronger. We love him, not that he is giving us money like that, but he has been a wonderful man over the years. He enjoys larger followers because he believes in what he stands for, which is why we believe he is the leader of all time.

You are about to celebrate your 51st birthday, how do you feel and what is your plan for the coming elections?
I celebrated my 50th birthday last year, which was my first time of celebrating birthday. Not that I don’t believe in it, but I believe that as you are celebrating your birthday, you are moving closer to your grave. So, you must be able to look at how far you have been able to impact on the lives of people. I thank God that I have been able to contribute my own quota to human capital development in my area. I look forward to 60 or 70 years of age to mark them with ceremonies. This year I would celebrate in a low key, call our spiritual leaders to pray for me and my family.
Yes, the elections are coming up, the leadership of the party and the people in position of authority are doing their best to further promote our party, the APC. We will take over at the centre and in more states; the leadership of the party has given me a nod for a second term of office. I thank my party men too, everybody supports me, so far, no opposition known to me has come out of the APC in Epe Constituency 1, this shows sign of acceptability. It is an indication that reward of good work is more work.

Can we say your being made a chief in Ketuland recently is an endorsement of your second term?
God is wonderful, He will not come from heaven to endorse me, He would send people, if the obas are endorsing me, like I was made Alakoso in Epe to co-ordinate the activities of the people, I was made Otunba Apesin of Ketuland in Epe Area 2, that is a sign of endorsement. I am from Epe 1, where they gave me Apesin in Epe 2. I thank them because they appreciate us and they want us to continue what we are doing. I thank Alaketu of Ketuland, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Oba Adegboyega Adefowora (JP),  for the chieftaincy title.

ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU IS NIGERIA’S FATHER OF DEMOCRACY
-Lagos Lawmaker, Dayo Fafunmi
A National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently clocked 62 years of age and this was marked with pomp and ceremony by his friends, colleagues, political children and associates.
For the lawmaker representing Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Dayo Saka Fafunmi, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a father of democracy in Nigeria and an icon, who should be celebrated for his selflessness and leadership qualities.
Fafunmi also speaks on the on-going constitutional conference and the challenging security situation in the country in this interview he granted us recently.

How would you react to the 70% voting formula adopted at the on-going constitutional conference in Abuja?
This would make it more difficult for our constitution to be amended, this also negates the 2/3 majority enshrined in our judicial system. It is difficult to actually define what 2/3 means, is there anything like 66.67% of humans. I think 70% is a step ahead of 2/3, so for every amendment in the constitution, you need 70% votes, this makes it more difficult to amend the constitution and this is good for us.
However, I would like to add that constitutional amendment is not what we ought to embark upon regularly, American Constitution has been there for years, even Britain does not have a written constitution, basically their constitution is un-codified, it is not in one document. Endorsement of 70% would make the amendment process difficult.

Would you say something tangible would come out of the constitution conference despite the position of your party on the issue?
I am someone that believes in change, but where you have such a constitutional confab, it is the future of the nation that should be discussed there. But, when you have people, who are octogenarians, people who are above 90 or almost 100 years of age, some of whom destroyed this country through their actions in the past, you still want to give them the responsibility of determining the future of generations yet unborn, it would be difficult to get something from them. Most of them took us to where we are today and they are taking us to where they think we should be. I don’t see anything good coming out of them, I don’t see anything extra-ordinary coming out of them or the confab. Our problem as a country is not limited by constitution, who are the people to be the change element. The mindset for the change must be there. It is a collective will of the people. If you as a leader want to effect change, and the followers are not willing, then where will the change come from?

Suspected Boko Haram members reportedly attacked SSS Headquarters in Abuja, how would you describe this and how do you see the security situation in the country as election is approaching?
This issue of Boko Haram sect is a national issue, which I think is beyond the PDP-led government, this is the time, when all hands must be on deck to handle it. Party leaders and professionals that are Nigerians, who are competent in handling security issues, should not leave it in the hands of the ruling class. Let other political parties aside the Federal Government proffer solution to this lingering crisis of Boko Haram insurgents. If we continue to allow President Goodluck Jonathan to handle our security issue alone, it could lead to something else.
Such issues that are of national interest should not be left with someone who has not proven himself to be able to deliver or meet the needs of the people of Nigeria. He should open up to other people; he should know that this thing might consume him as a leader. The United States of America is fighting terrorism all over the world today not just in America; they go to the base of terrorists to deal with them. Why do you think they are in Afghanistan, they are not interested in spending their hard earned money on terrorism, their interest is to protect Americans as a whole. The issue here is if Boko Haram members could attack our national security agents and agencies without any intelligence report, and those who are meant to give the intelligence reports are being attacked, I am beginning to lose hope in the whole system. As an individual and as a Nigerian, I want to say that the President should know that he should meet people that can help, it goes beyond the PDP, it is a national calamity. If Boko Haram members could go as far as attacking innocent students in Federal Government Colleges, these are brilliant students, whose lives were cut short. For them to go to Eagles Square in Abuja, where the President was to address the people, and bomb the place is a serious matter, they attacked Police headquarters, police stations, army barracks, this means if we do not give it a timely approach, they would cause much destruction. If it is a region that is being affected, why not condone off the region, tighten the security, take advantage of the air force, you don’t have to employ only military officers for the task, hire some locals who could use the communications and telecommunication equipment, and decentralize the police. Let local governments help them at this point, let someone be in charge of the equipment and they would alert you when they notice any movement, we can curtail the crisis if we don’t just see it as the business of the police, army, or Joint Task Force (JTF), it is our national problem that needs to be addressed.

Your National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently celebrated his birthday, how would you describe him as a person at this time?
This is a man, who has given us the true meaning of democracy, this is a man, who understands, what it takes to be in the opposition, and this is a man that every Nigerian should be proud of for challenging the activities of the PDP. If not for him, Nigeria would have been a one-party state. When the PDP did a ‘magic’ and won all the states in the South West, this man remained standing, for me, I see him as a father of democracy, someone we should be grateful to for rising to the occasion. Some other people would have been contented with saving Lagos State alone and say they are in control, but this man has been able to cover more grounds than expected due to his exposure amongst other things.
Who are we not to celebrate the icon of democracy, a true leader? We wish him happy birthday and many more life of serving the nation and the very best that Almighty Allah has planned for him.

Would you encourage him to contest for the position of the nation’s vice-presidency as some people have been saying?
Tell me the qualification as enshrined in the constitution of Nigeria that stops him from doing that. It is his own personal decision, but someone who has sacrificed a lot for the people, though I cannot speak for him, I feel he would probably wants to remain a national leader of repute and someone who would ensure justice and fairness in the country.
